4. Margaret James Nanny

In the 1920 City of Truscott, Knox County Texas census, there is: If this is OUR Margeurite, it states she was born in TN (?)
4/4 Margeurite A Guynn 70 widow TN TN VA
living alone.
Also in the same census and same county and the page after the entry for Margeurite is:
14/14 Charlie M Guynn w m 48 TX TX TX Grocery Store Apt #5 and wife Mary M w f TX TX TX.

In 1917/1918, Olin lists Marguerite as his contact in his WWI application, so she was still living in Palestine, TX at that time.

Margeurite was age 61 in 1911 (per papers from "Widows and Orphans home in Corsicana Texas where Lady Clara was placing her children). In 1910 she was living with Olin in Cooke County Texas and her name on the census was spelled Margret.

The families above this in the census are Black families. Did the census taker just continue the Black designation? Are these our Margaret and Tennie? If the Ida and Ralph Kizer I found in Arkansas in 1930 is OUR Tennie, then this one born in 1867 is too old to be ours.

On the next page of the 1900 Cooke County Census is:

The date the index was begun is not known, but it was probably around 1890. Page "A"s is missing and has been reconstructed from the entries in the book. Other pages were compared to the index and differences noted. All burials on the 1ots listed on the pages - and differences in spelling of names when compared to the index - have been noted within parenthesis. Many burials are evidently unlisted. The index covers to 1932.
