"PRINCETON, Ky. - Adell Mitchell Lynch, 85 of North Plum Street, died at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday at her home.
Mrs. Lynch was a homemaker and a member of Southside Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty Beck of Princeton; four grandchidren, nine great-grandchildren, and several step-grandchildren; three brothers, Barkley Towne and James Towne, both of Madisonville, and Arthur Towne of Princeton; a sister, Ida Mae Pierce of Eddyville; and four stepsons, Charles Lynch of Calvert City, Buster Lynch of Hardin, Everett Lynch of Warren County and J L Lynch of Louisiana.
Her husband, J L Lynch, and a daughter, Nora Mae Fitts, preceded her in death. Her parents were Joe Morris Towne and Mae Parrent Towne.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Morgan's Funeral Home, with the Rev. J Bill Jones officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lyon County.
Friends may call from 4 until 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and until the funeral time Friday.

June 17, 1971Funeral services for Joshua L. Lynch, 82 years of age, were held Sunday afternoon, June 13th at Dunn Funeral Home in Eddyville.
Lynch, a retired Princeton grocer, died Thursday night, June 10th at the Caldwell County War Memorial Hospital.
The Rev. G. O. Cavanaugh and the Rev. James Beavers officiated at the funeral.
Burial was in the Macedonia Cemetery in Lyon County.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs Adele Lynch of Princeton; two daughters, Mrs Grace Keel and Mrs Eddie Beck, both of Princeton; four sons, R.H. "Buster" Lynch of Benton, Charles B. Lynch of Calvert City, William E. Lynch of White Plains, Ky.and J. L. Lynch, Jr.. of Eddyville: one brother, Benton Lynch of Brownsville, Ill; one half-brother, Burton Lynch of Cumberland City, Tennessee; two sisters, Mrs Alta Conger of Marion and Mrs. Virgie Brown of Detroit, Michigan and one half-sister, Mrs Bertha Fleet of Calvert City; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Ida Mae Pierce
Ida Mae Pierce, 88, of Eddyville, died Monday, March 5, 2001 at 4:55 pm at Caldwell County Hospital in Princeton.
A member of Eddyville First Baptist Church, she was a daughter of the late Willis [note from Debbie: this should be Morris] and May Towne.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Pierce in 1989; a son, James R. Pierce; and two sisters, Edith Sedbery and Adel Lench.
Survivors include two brothers, Aurther Towne and Barkley Towne; two grandchildren, Katrina Jackson and Duane Pierce; and three great grandchildren, Camron Pierce, Kaylob Meeks, and Alexis Meeks.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, March 8, at 11 am at Dunn's Funeral Home in Eddyville with the Rev. Tim Perdue officiating.
Burial followed in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Services for Barkley Towne, 90, of Eddyville, formerly of Madisonville, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Lakeland Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Crabtree officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Madisonville.
Mr. Towne died at 5:30 p.m. Monday at his home.
He retired from Enco Shirt Co. in Madisonville and was a member of First Baptist Church in Eddyville. Mr. Towne was also a 50-year member of Madisonville Masonic Lodge No. 143.
Surviving are two daughters, Oweda Qualls of Eddyville and Sue Payne of Slaughters; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Hooks Towne; two brothers; and five sisters. His parents were James Morris Towne and May Parrent Towne.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Hale Lefan, 85, of Princeton, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, at 10 p.m. at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, following a long illness.A World War II Army veteran, Property Valuation Administrator for 28 years in Lyon County, member of Eddyville United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of Joppa Lodge #167, he was born Dec. 11, 1919, in Lyon County, a son of the late Herman Seldon Lefan and Nellie Jane Parrent Lefan.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Goodman Lefan, in 1970; a stepson, Stephen Espie; and three sisters, Geneva Morris, Louise Dorroh and Mary Rose Chandler.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Sue Lefan; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Phyllis Lefan of Eddyville; a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Kenneth Minacci of Dade City, Fla.; four stepchildren, Sherri Raymos of Bradenton, Fla., Clark Espie of Eddyville, David Espie of Kuttawa and Andrew Espie of Princeton; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Duncan and Dorothy McCracken, both of Princeton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Jan. 13, at 1 p.m. at Eddyville United Methodist Church in Eddyville.
The Rev. Steve McVay will officiate the service for Mr. Lefan, assisted by the Rev. Charles Hatfield.
Burial will follow in Rolling Hills Cemetery in Eddyville with military services at graveside.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton and from noon until the funeral hour Thursday at the church.

Mrs. Sue Lefan, 72, of Princeton, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2006, at 3:20 p.m. at Caldwell County Hospital in Princeton.A former legal secretary for James Story law office in Eddyville, she worked as secretary in the Property Valuation office in Eddyville and was a dedicated genealogist. She was a member of the Woodmen of the World Society and Friendship United Methodist Church in Lyon County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hale Lefan; a son, Stephen Espie; and her parents, William and Ruby Gresham Brooks.
Survivors include a daughter, Sherri Raymos of Richmond Hill, Ga.; three sons, Drew Espie of Princeton, David Espie of Kuttawa, and Clark Espie of Eddyville; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at Lakeland Funeral Home Chapel in Eddyville, with the Rev. Steve McVay officiating the service. There will be no visitations.
