George Cash Holloway, 78, of 681 Galloway Rd., Dawson Springs, died Wednesday, Oct. 26,
at 4:30 a.m. at Dawson Springs Health Care Center in Dawson Springs, Ky. following a long
illness.Born Aug. 16, 1916, in Caldwell County, he was a son of the late George L. and Bertie Parrent Holloway, and a member of First United Methodist Church in Dawson Springs.
A veteran of World War II, he was a retired self-employed electrician.
A son Donald Ray Holloway preceded him in death in 1980.
Survivors include four sons, Kenneth Holloway, Cadiz, Mike Holloway, Hopkins County, Ky.,Jeff Holloway, Dawson Springs, and Mark Holloway, Henderson, Ky. ; a daughter Joan Davenport, Lake Station, Ind; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jerry Holloway and William Holloway, both of Princeton, and Sidney Holloway, Hopkinsville, and two sisters, Maybelle Gray, Evansville, Ind., and Mary Patterson, Princeton, Ky. Funeral services were conducted Friday, Oct. 28, at 1 p.m. at Morgan's Funeral Home, Princeton, with the Rev. Dan Griffiths officiating. Burial followed in Friendship Cemetery in Lyon County, Ky.
