EDDYVILLE, Ky.--Services for Kathleen Gray, 82, of Eddyville will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Princeton. The Rev. A.B. Ort and the Rev. Jim Travis will officiate, with burial in Confederate Cemetery in Lyon County.
She died at 5 a.m. Saturday at her home.

She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Princeton.

She is survived by three sons, Willard Gray of Cadiz, Gary Gray of Riverside, Calif., and Tommy Gray of New Albany, Ind.; four daughters, Patricia English of Ormond Beach, Fla., Bonnie Ashby of Owensboro, Donna Goodaker of Princeton, and Sherry Kinnis of Eddyville; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Noble Gray; two grandsons, Scott Goodaker and Joe English; three brothers; and two sisters. Her parents were Elwood and Mary Cummins Gray.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Dunn's Funeral Home of Eddyville and from noon until 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Albert Gray, 93, of Hilltop Nursing Home, Kuttawa, died Thursday, March 4th, at 5:30 p.m. at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, after a short illness.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 7th, at 2:00 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church in Lyon County, Ky. Officiating will be the Rev. Louard Gray, assisted by the Rev. Phillip Shutt, the Rev. Les Baker and the Rev. Curtis Melton.

Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery in Lyon County, Ky.

A Lyon County native, he was born April 24th 1899, a son of the late John Lindsay Gray and Kate Green Hyde Gray.

Mr. Gray was preceded in death by his wife, Effie Williamson Gray in 1990.

He was a retired employee of Thomas Industries and a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Lyon County.

Survivors include three sons, Willard Gray of Hopkinsville, Rev. Louard (L.C.) Gray of Owensboro and Billy W. Gray of Mobile, Alabama; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and one brother, of Dallas Gray of Cadiz. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Morgan's Funeral Home, Princeton in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Effie Williamson Gray, age 85, were held Saturday July 28, at 2 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Louard C. Gray officiating, assisted by the Revs. Lee Baker and Luke Watson.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Gray, a former resident of Eddyville, died Thursday, July 26, at 10:45 a.m. in Hilltop Nursing Home, Kuttawa, after a long illness.

A native of Lyon County, Mrs. Gray was born May 5, 1905, the daughter of William T. and Maggie Oliver Williamson. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Lyon County.

Survivors include her husband, Albert Gray; three sons, Willard Gray, of Hopkinsville, Rev. Louard C. (L. C.) Gray, of Owensboro, and Billy W. Gray, of Mobile, Ala; one sister, Mrs. Serena Cummins, of Calvert City; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were James Bowers, Jerry Bowers, Michael Gray, Andrew Gray, Richard Rahn, and Johnson Tosh.

Most of the information on Dallas Gray, his parents and grandparents came from material that Dallas dictated to his daughter Barbara Nell in 1985 and was given to me by his daughter Becky. Becky also tracked down most of the more recent family information for the descendants of Dallas Gray.


Mildred Thelma Gresham

Mildred was previously married to a Gillette.

Mrs. Mildred Gresham, 88, of the Confederate Community in Lyon County, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at 1:08 p.m. at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, following a short illness.

A retired school teacher and bus driver in Lyon County and
a member of Friendship United Methodist Church, she was born on July 2, 1918, in Lyon County, a daughter of the late Charles Leonard and Lola Cummins Gresham.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Leon Gresham and Hale Gresham.

Survivors include a son, Drury Burton Gillette of Eddyville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Kelma White of Eddyville, and Jane Ann and Kenneth Jones of Beaver Dam; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a sister, June Thorpe of Eddyville.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 16, at 1 p.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.

Services will be officiated by the Rev. Greg Hollingsworth, assisted by the Rev. James Bush.

Burial will follow in Confederate Cemetery in Lyon County.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
