The angel of death visted the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hulah Wynn Wednesday morning and claimed for its victim their oldest child who was a boy about eight years old.

According to Rick Thorpe, Helen and John had 26 grandchildren, 38 gret grandchildren and aproximately 12 great great grandchildren when Helen was the last to die in 1993.

Sept. 27, 2008Eula Laura Thorp, 83, of Dawson Springs, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, at 11:25 a.m. at Harborside Health Care in Madisonville.
Born Feb. 22, 1925, in Hopkins County, a daughter of the late Ralph and Georgia Olean Majors Martin, she was a 28 year employee in food service for Days Inn, was a Kentucky Colonel and served 35 years as a Hopkins County Election Judge. She was a past president of the PTA and a member of the Daughters of the Nile (Women’s Auxiliary of the Shriners) and a member of the Christian faith.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Geneva Barnes and Opal Horn; and a brother, Harry Zane Martin.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, James Floyd Thorp; a daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Donnie Baggett of Beulah; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Ann Thorp of Madisonville and Tracey and Tandy Thorp of Hanson; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; a sister, Dorothy Lamb of Drakesboro; and a brother, John Martin of Eddyville.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Sept. 26, at 11 a.m. at Beshear Funeral Home.
George Wanderlich will officiate the service.Burial will follow in Ramey Cemetery in Lyon County.
Pallbearers will be Bill Baggett, David Baggett, Randy Martin, Kevin Martin, Devi Thorp and Robert Sandefur.
Honorary bearers wwill be Bill Simmons, Chad Latham, Daniel Davis, Jake Quisenberry, Keith Tyler and Kirby Price.

Mr. R C Gray 55 passed away at his home in Eddyville Friday afternoon after an illness of several weeks.Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Dunn Funeral Home with the Rev. F.M. Glover and the Rev. J.N. Dill officiating.
Survivers include the widow Mrs. Ernestine Gray; a son, Davis Gray, a daughter, Miss Jenine Gray; his mother, Mrs. Mary Gray; a brother, Jack Gray; three sisters, Mrs. Minus Williamson, Evansville, Mrs. Noble Gray, Fredonia, and Mrs Arthur Towns, Tallahassee, Fla.

"Funeral services for Leona Williamson, age 81, of Eddyville, were held Friday, April 26, at 1 p.m. at Dunn's Mortuary with Rev. Phillip Yancy officiating, assisted by theRev. Jim Holloway. Burial followed in Friendship Cemetery.
Mrs. Williamson died Tuesday, April 23, at 5:43 p.m. at Washington Manor Nursing Home in Evansville, Indiana.
She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by her husband, Minus Williamson; her parents, Elwood and Mary Gray; and two brothers, Arliff Gray and R. C. Gray.
